Stefania Pozzi Porter Named U.S. AbilityOne Commission Inspector General

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 13, 2022 – The U.S. AbilityOne Commission announced today that Stefania Pozzi Porter has been named Inspector General, following a nationwide search.

“It is a great pleasure to welcome Stefania as the Commission’s new Inspector General,” said Commission Chairperson Jeffrey A. Koses. “Stefania’s leadership and expertise will ensure that the Office of Inspector General continues to build trust in the AbilityOne Program by detecting and preventing fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement. That work is especially critical at a time of transformation and modernization for the Program.”

Porter has also been selected as a member of the Federal Government’s Senior Executive Service.

Porter has been the Commission’s Acting Inspector General since July 2021. Prior to that, she served as General Counsel and Deputy Inspector General in the Office of Inspector General (OIG), with responsibilities that included enhancing management of OIG business units, and developing and overseeing the OIG operations of Audit and Investigations.

Before joining the Commission in 2017, Porter served as Counsel to the Inspector General at the U.S. International Trade Commission OIG, and as the sole investigator for the agency. She also served as an investigative attorney in the Office of Investigations, Special Investigations Unit, for the Inspector General at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
